Waiting on the Lord

First of all, my apologies for the long wait. I’ve been a little hesitant as I would like to give an amazing update with lots of progress. Instead the wait is longer than I hope for to move on to the next stage. Still the hand of God is upon the situation.

Psalm 27:13-14
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

About 2 weeks ago it got scary, ’name hidden’ shared with me her father has found her a new husband, a ‘good muslim man’ according to her father. With that her family had discussed and she would have to leave her daughter who would be raised by her late husband’s sister. 

Then soon after she was taken by her father in preparation of those plans. After a day of silence, she went back online and said she was able to leave by telling her father she wanted to spend some time with her daughter before this newly arranged wedding. 

We discussed some options and there is a family of which the husband was friends with ’name hidden’ (our brother who got killed), where she could stay until we can proceed with the next step of getting ’name hidden’ and her daughter Zainab across the border to Pakistan.

Praise God they were willing to bring her in until further notice. I don’t know how long she will be able to stay there, so I continue to pray we can get their passports soon to start the process of crossing the border.

While in the waiting process I’ve been sending over funds for food and other basic necessities. Next time I’m planning to send a bit more for Christmas and also to bless the family she’s been staying with. I’m so thankful for all the donations that came in!

I was thinking, if you have a message or a prayer you would like to send to ’name hidden’ or the family she’s staying with, please send it to me and I will forward it to her. I’m sure they would very appreciate it.

Ministry in Pakistan

Around this time we start preparing for some exciting events to organize in the churches and Sunday schools we are connected with. We mainly want to bless the kids in this time and similar to the Christmas shoeboxes, we make packages for the kids as a present and encouragement in Jesus’ name.

Usually the Sunday schools prepare performances they share at church during Christmas time. We use that time as well to provide a meal for every church member. I’m always delighted to see the photos when they come back to me, there is so much joy around this time.

Please pray for:

• Protection for ’name hidden’

• Protection for the family that is helping her

• A good preparation time to bless the churches in Pakistan

• Our Sunday Schools in Pakistan
