One Step At a Time

Dear Family,

Praise be to God. I’ve received much support and many people joining in with prayer, it’s been wonderful. Sometimes obstacles seem to big to be conquered, yet the word reminds us that there is nothing our God cannot do.

I’m going to be honest though: last week has been hard on me emotionally, as so many burdens seem to be gathering on my shoulders, burdens I’m not able to carry. Thankfully this helped me to press into God and reminded me that these are not my burdens to carry, but to be handed over to our Lord Jesus and in return He give us His peace, how wonderful! Yes, we continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus and yes, we continue to pick up our cross and lay down our lives for those around us, yet all in His strength and not our own.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Afghan Family

We were able to raise enough support to provide ’name hidden’ and daughter with passports, visas and means to cross the border into Pakistan!

First milestone complete!

I am now waiting an update on when and how we can proceed to obtain the documents. We need people we know through our network that work in the passport office to get these passports ASAP. Normal procedure would take 1.5-2 years.

Pakistan

The situation is continuing to getting worse in Pakistan. There is a rising persecution happening towards Christians. Pastors getting shot, churches destroyed and believers beaten and ridiculed.

In the mean time there is a conflict between Afghani Taliban and Pakistan being developed and there is concern for a war between them. I’m not sure how this will affect or change the plans we have laid out, but we will remain listening to God’s voice and be guided by Him. He is our Shepard, always leading and guiding us as we focus on him.
